Die Cutter Operator

The primary purpose of this role is to operate die cutting equipment. The operator will be expected to set up jobs according to the job specifications and maintain established production standards. This is a production job requiring the operator to stand for eight hours a day. The ideal candidate has experience operating die cutting equipment, is detail orientated and has a strong mechanical aptitude.
Duties, Responsibilities & Abilities:
Interpret and follow direction from a PrintStream work ticket
Mechanical aptitude to set up and operate Heidelberg and Johnnisberg cylinder presses, Heidelberg Easymatrix, or similar equipment from other manufacturers
Make ready and run up to productivity standards
Maintain high quality standard
Approve die lines
Make necessary adjustments to ensure quality
Perform necessary maintenance
Ability to work in a fast paced production environment
Ability to work well with co-workers in a team environment
Ability to operate computer based technology
Skills & Educational Requirements:
Prior commercial print shop experience
Experience operating die cutting equipment
Ability to read a ruler
Basic math skills
Physical Requirements:
Constant standing and/or walking
Manual dexterity
Frequently lift up to 25 lbs.
Occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.
Occasionally squat or kneel
Occasionally bend

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
