Description:
The Pre-Assembly Technician is an important part of our assembly process. In this role, you will for provide pre-production support to team in the building of our Energy Recovery Ventilation (ERV) units. This is a position where you will be highly active with varied responsibilities each day.
This is a full-time position running Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 5am - 5:15pm. Work for 36 hours, get paid for 40!

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Build our Static Core and cut insulation to meet production demands.
Assist Commercial Production Team and individual technicians by building subassemblies (e.g. doors, hoods, etc.) as well as cutting screens, raceways and chain.
Assist Commercial Production Team with the assembly process, sheet metal stocking, job kitting, palletizing of units and restocking of cell and tool carts based on workload requirements.
Perform material transactions including issuing materials, cycle counting, moving all core stock jobs to inventory and investigating material issues.
Support the production team by seeking improvement of workflow and processes and implementing improvement projects.
When requested, assist in the Residential unit build process depending on workload requirements.
Adhere to and promote company policies and procedures

Requirements:
Requires mathematical skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide and to read measurements in inches and feet as well as ability to read a tape measure
Experience reading blueprints and/or schematics
Experience with portable power tools and hand tools preferred
Requires good oral and written communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
Positive AttitudeEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
