Commercial Paint Technician
Renewaire Renewaire Waunakee, WI Waunakee, WI Full-time Full-time $22 - $25 an hour $22 - $25 an hour As Paint Technician you will be painting our Commerical ventilation units in our NEW paint booth with potential leadership opportunities as the shift grows.
You will be asked to recognize improvement opportunities, make suggestions to team members and assist with the implementation of approved changes.
You will be expected to have computer entry skills.
WHAT YOU WILL DO Prepare and paint sheet metal surface; protect and prime surfaces as appropriate; apply finish coatings as per Renewaire specifications.
Perform start-up, process verification, troubleshooting and root cause analysis of any issues related to painting process or the associated equipment.
Follow standard operating procedures when using tools and equipment such as paint sprayers, service ladder, sanders.
Perform quality inspection of painted units as per guidelines, take ownership of paint process Participate in cross-training activities.
Maintain record keeping, inventory of equipment, supplies and materials; order necessary supplies.
Correct work as directed, repair nicks, scratches or other small imperfections in the finish.
Clean up work areas, equipment, secure supplies and materials; apply standard safety practices and procedures.
Create, modify, and implement PM documents, schedules, and activities for the paint equipment.
Requirements:
COMPETENCIES Good analytical and math skills Exceptional interpersonal skills - ability to develop effective working relationships with internal and external staff Detail oriented with strong attention to accuracy Ability to work independently and as a member of a team Focus on quality, safety, and maintaining clean and orderly paint booth and production areas Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma or equivalent 1-2 years of industrial paint shop experience (spray coating, paint preparation process) Prior knowledge of methods and techniques related to painting in specialized areas and work environments.
Forklift operation experience is a plus Ability to use Microsoft Office software preferred Job Type:
